Mayuge, Uganda

Giving hope to poor families in eastern Uganda

Mayuge is a very poor region in eastern Uganda. The water sources are little more than muddy holes in the ground. Children are visibly ill, with distended bellies from water-borne diseases. But the people of Mayuge are strong, capable, and ready to do whatever it takes to bring safe water, sanitation and hygiene to their families.
