Lifewater Names Tim Chambers New Vice President of Programs
Lifewater is proud to announce the hiring of Tim Chambers as Vice President of Programs. Tim will provide strategic direction for Lifewater’s global programs and foster the development of in-country leadership.
Tim joins Lifewater following 18 years of service at Compassion International, a long-standing Christian humanitarian aid organization, where he most recently served as Director of Operations for the Africa region. Tim has a B.A. in Psychology from Judson University and an M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University.
Tim will be working from Lifewater’s newly-opened second office in Bentonville, Arkansas.
In response to his new role at Lifewater, Tim said, “I have never seen the role I have served in as ‘just a job,’ but a personal calling, an opportunity to make a difference, and clearly an adventure that God has laid out before me to join Him.”
While serving in Haiti at 19 years old, Tim witnessed children playing in sewage water. He describes it as the turning point in his life.
“This was the first time I felt the hot rage of holy discontent,” he said. “I began to feel God carve into my heart a deeper well of love and compassion towards my neighbor, which in turned called me to step into the fray and make a difference in the lives of others.”
Decades of service would follow.
Lifewater Chief Executive Officer David LeVan said, “We are proud to have Tim join us at Lifewater; his experience in international development and heart for those in need will be instrumental as we continue to raise up leaders within the organization in the US and abroad.”
Lifewater is a Christian clean water and community development organization dedicated to serving families in need with clean water, improved health, and the hope of Jesus. For over 40 years and in 45+ countries, Lifewater has been the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need.
